Record and work with Projects

Capture separate Vocal and Music tracks so you can listen, review, and refine presets after the live session.

PROJECT RECORDING

Start a new Project

Choose Record in the Project area, enter a recognizable name, then perform normally. idolLiveAudio records separate Vocal and Music paths and stores information about the active chains.

Default storage

Projects are stored under the idolLiveAudio/Recordings folder in Windows Documents. You do not need to browse this folder to play or export a Project.

PROJECT WINDOW

Find and play it back

  1. Choose Project to open Manage Projects.
  2. Type part of a name in Search to filter the list.
  3. Select the correct Project row; the active row is highlighted.
  4. Choose Play. The main Play/Pause/Stop controls operate the loaded Project.

BACKUP

Export or import a Project ZIP

  • Export Project: select a row in Project Window and save the .zip to a safe location.
  • Import: choose a Project .zip. idolLiveAudio extracts it into Recordings and loads it ready to play.
  • The ZIP includes Project audio and a JSON description of the Vocal, FX, Music, and Master plugin chains.
Do not manually alter the ZIP

Renaming or deleting files inside can make the Project impossible to import. Import it first, then manage it in the app.

iLA EDITOR

Tune a preset on the exact phrase

Select a Project and choose Edit Project. iLA Editor is an advanced player that reuses idolLiveAudio's real chains; it does not cut, delete, or modify the original audio files.

LOOPIsolate a phrase

Drag on the waveform to select a range, press Space to Play/Pause, and loop it when needed.

PLUGINEdit the real chain

Double-click a plugin to open its UI; ON/OFF controls the actual active plugin.

SPECTRUMPRE / POST

Select a plugin and a 2–20 second loop to inspect that plugin's own effect.

MASTERMix Glue Check

Select the Master node to inspect balance, masking, dynamics, and stereo space across Vocal/Music/Master.

Always verify by listening

Spectrum and Mix Glue warnings are guidance. Level-match your A/B and verify on headphones/speakers you trust before saving the preset.
